Hot Chocolate And Winter

When winter winds begin to blow,
And rooftops hide beneath the snow,
I wrap my hands around a cup,
Of cocoa steaming, swirling up!

The world turns quiet, crisp and white,
Soft lantern glow replaces light,
But in my mug, a warmth so sweet,
Melts every frost I chance to meet!

Marshmallows drift like clouds above,
A tiny storm of sugar love,
They bob and dance in chocolate deep,
Like snowy dreams that never sleep!

Outside, the icy branches gleam,
Inside, the cocoa sends its steam,
And winter feels less cold, less far,
Hot chocolate is my guiding star!

Sip by sip, the season glows,
A comfort only cocoa knows,
For in that cup, so rich and right,
Winter becomes a soft delight!
