The Climb They Claim

They may not stand upon the peak,
Where winds are wild and voices speak,
Of victories won, of banners high,
Of glories stretched across the sky,
But still they climb, and step by step,
They guard the progress they have kept,
A quiet strength, a steady heart,
A will that says, ‘begin, restart!’

The world may cheer the fastest few,
The ones who soar, who blaze straight through,
But many journeys, soft and small,
Are crowned with worth beyond it all,
For every try, each earnest stride,
Becomes a flame they hold inside,
A fire fed not by applause,
But by their own unshaken cause!

They walk the trail that is meant for them,
Not always bright like rare gems,
Sometimes they slip, sometimes they wait,
Sometimes they meet a crooked fate,
Yet still they rise, they dust the ground,
They listen for that inner sound,
A whispered truth, a gentle call,
They are not at the top, but give their all!

And maybe that is what it means,
To chase those quiet-living dreams,
To love the doing more than done,
To praise the moon as much as sun,
Success may come in smaller frames,
In tiny sparks, in humbled flames,
But light is light, and theirs still burns,
With every hopeful step they earn!

So, here they stand, not first in line,
No trophy gleam, no grand design,
Yet in their chest, a pride grows deep,
For promises they chose to keep,
To show up strong, to try their best,
To face each day, to meet each test,
And though they have not reached the top,
Their spirit climb and does not stop!
