On World Autism Awareness Day, we pause to see,
A world more vast than what eyes first believe,
In quiet strength, in colours bold and true,
There is beauty shining in a different view!

Not less, not broken — simply uniquely made,
With minds that dance where others may just wade,
In every laugh, each step, each gentle way,
You light the world more than words could ever say!

To all who feel, who think, who love their way —
We honour you, today and every day,
And to my son, my heart, my guiding light,
You are my world, my different kind of bright!
