A Little Oxford Magic

For a couple of nights in Oxford I stayed,
And found so much magic in memories made,
Through ancient old streets and colleges grand,
I wandered enchanted through storybook land!

I took to the river, so peaceful and bright,
Where punting through Oxford was pure delight,
The water was gentle, the scenery fair,
With history and beauty surrounding the air!

The Botanic Gardens were lovely to roam,
A peaceful green haven that felt like home,
With flowers in bloom and sweet colours to see,
I wandered contentedly, happy and free!

I met lovely people, both cheerful and kind,
And shared little moments I will keep in mind,
There were laughs and good chats, and connections so sweet,
And a few little flirts that made hearts skip a beat!

Some smiles lingered longer, some glances were shy,
A touch of romance beneath Oxford’s sky,
Nothing too heavy, just playful and true,
The sort of sweet moments that brighten a view!

And through those few nights, as the hours slipped by,
Oxford left memories I will not say goodbye,
A beautiful visit, with friendship and cheer,
A little romance, and moments sincere!

So, here is to old Oxford, its rivers and stone,
Its gardens, its people, its charm of its own,
I came for a visit, but left with much more,
A heart full of memories, and wanting encore!
